What is MLM-Multi Level Marketing

AN EYE OPENER ESPECIALLY FOR SALARIED PEOPLE:

"COST OF SIMPLE LIVING IN INDIA IS INCREASING BY OVER 30% PER YEAR BUT INCOME OF AVERAGE PERSON IS INCREASING ONLY BY 5% TO 15% PER YEAR."

Dear friends we cannot depend upon our annual increments anymore and we should start thinking to do something extra to supplement our income. If we do not do that, then this deficit in increments within coming 3-5 years will become such a big problem that will be too difficult for us to handle. And the fact is that for many of us it has already become a big problem.

"SO TIME HAS COME TO REALIZE THIS FACT AND START REACTING BY FINDING WAYS TO SUPPLEMENT OUR INCOMES."

Further according to World Bank 90% of people in this world are getting poorer and poorer because in every 20 years cost of Fooding, Clothing and Shelter increases by 10 times and our income does not grow at same rate. According to this fact in year 2020 the monthly expense of middle class family will be Rs. 1,00,000/- per month. Just to fulfill basic requirements. And if someone wants to maintain good life style then anywhere between Rs. 2,00,000/- to Rs. 3,00,000/- per month is required.

NOW THE QUESTION IS THAT CAN YOUR EXISTING SOURCE OF EARNING GIVE YOU INCOME MORE THAN THAT?

If you answer to this question is no then this is the time to take some action and think about some extra source of earnings and supplementing your income.

SOME OTHER FACTS ABOUT SALARIED PEOPLE AND THE PROBLEMS THEY ARE FACING:

1. Some of them have time to spend with their family but no money.
2. Some of them have money to spend but no time to enjoy with family.
3. Most of them have neither time to spend nor money.
4. Most of them having burden of some or other kind of debt (LOANS).
5. No time freedom.
6. No financial freedom.
7. Leads compromising life.
8. Since mostly both husband & wife are in job so children are neglected and are moslty depending on servants.
9. No income security. That is person have to go to work to earn income. Because of active income and not passive income.
10. Working for making their organization rich and not themselves.
11. Totally depends on seniors for growth in income.
12. Always there is a fear of pink slip (loss of job) at the closing of financial year.

So what is the solution to all these problems?

The solution lies in finding some extra source of income that supplements your earnings and not only that, the new source of income should be capable of generating passive income. That is income should not always require your physical presence.

WHAT ARE THE VARIOUS OPTIONS OF EARNING EXTRA INCOME?

Here are some of the options:

1.Start a Traditional Business: but do you have time to devote, money to invest and the capability to take risk of starting a business? It is next to impossible to start a traditional business without leaving your current job. And if you are already into business then it is very tough for you to start a new business.
2.Start a Part Time Job: do you have time, energy and efficiency left after coming back from your existing work. And will you be able to get desirable income from your part time job?
3.Freelancing: good option but it is going to affect your existing work. How much it effect depends upon the nature of your existing work and your freelancing services. But still it’s not the best option that I suggest.
4.Purchase big commercial property and lease it: this is a very good option provided you have a saving of around 5-10 Crore to purchase such property at prime location, so this option is out of reach of 99% of people.
5.There are several other ways: like investing in stocks, mutual funds, becoming insurance agent or home based business but some of them involve high risk of loss and some others require more time and investment.

We can see that none of the above options are suitable for us because we are not in a position to invest full time, lots of money and above all we do not have risk taking capability.

SO WHAT IS THE BEST OPTION THAT WE HAVE?

According to former American President Bill Clinton, John E. Sestina founder of National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and member of Financial Planning Association, Paul Zane Pilzer former Vice President CitiBank, Robert T Kiyosaki an American investor, businessman, self-help author and motivational speaker, best known for his Rich Dad Poor Dad series of motivational books, Jean Paul Getty an American industrialist and many other top businessmen and financial advisors, the best option of supplementing your Income and getting rich is Multi Level Marketing Business.

Following are the reasons why MLM is the best option:
1. Totally part time business
2. No need to disturb your current work.
3. Can be started in very low or negligible investment.
4. No need to maintain stocks.
5. No advertising cost.
6. So need to have office, equipments and manpower to operate. So no operating expenses.
7. As there is almost no investment so there is no risk at all.
8. Qualification is not a hindrance.
9. Anyone can do it.
10. It enhances your personality.
11. Unlimited income potential.
12. Income out of your daily essential expenses.
13. Secured income to your generations after you. As it creates a passive income after 2-5 years.
14. Financial freedom. Spend your money without seeing price tag.
15. Early retirement.
16. Time freedom, so more time for family.
17. You’re Recognition all over the world.
18. Hassel free business.
19. No boundaries, so do it all over the world.
20. And many other benefits.

What is MLM or Multi Level Marketing?

Multi level marketing or network marketing is a fastest growing business all over the world. It is a system where a common person can also has a chance to earn unlimited income like big businessmen, without making huge investment and without disturbing his / her existing work. It gives everyone time, money, income security and financial freedom all at the same time.

MLM is related to distribution of products from manufacturing company to the end users that is a consumer. Everyone in this world is a consumer. Even a manufacturer is a consumer as he / she manufactures one or some products but consumes many products manufactured by someone else.

In traditional business the product reaches from manufacturer to consumer after going through the long distribution channel. The consumer buys the product from retailer, retailer from wholesaler, wholesaler from distributor, distributor from C&F agent and C&F agent from manufacturer. Every mediator between consumer and manufacturer adds his / her profit margin to the actual cost of the product as it comes out of the manufacturing company. Moreover huge amount of money is spent on advertising of products that also adds to the cost of the product. The result is that a product that costs to a manufacturing company at Rs. 40/- with profit, by the time it reaches the consumer its cost becomes Rs. 100/- and the entire additional cost of Rs. 60 per Rs. 100 i.e. 60% comes out of hard earned money of consumers who are people like us.

60% of the cost of the product is paid by consumers to those people who are not improving the product in terms of quality and quantity. Yes they can of course reduce the quality of products by doing their duplicity (MILAAWAT). Examples are many these days. Duplicate GHEE, MILK, REFINED, MAAVA, SALT, PULSES, MEDICINES, FLOUR, COSMETICS and in everything. We hear about it almost every day in news.
And as far as advertising is concerned, out of 60% of extra cost 30% goes in it. Celebrities take crores of rupees just to make false statements on the advertising media. E.g. Aishwarya says on TV that LUX is the secret of her beauty. But do you think that she will even think about using LUX? Do you think Shahrukh Khan drives I-10 or SANTRO car? Or Amitabh Bacchan ji uses NAVRATAN OIL?

Will you buy santro because Sharukh Khan is saying on TV or you will buy it after consulting some of your friend, relative or neighbor who already has SANTRO?
Of course you will consult someone who already owns SANTRO or you will take a test drive. So the fact is that decision of purchasing a particular brand of products depend lot on references from our close ones and not on advertisements.

Now MLM concept says that most important person in the entire distribution channel is the consumer and then the manufacturer. So it eliminates all middlemen and connects the consumer directly to the manufacturer. MLM do that by making them distributor as well as consumers. So in this concept the consumer of products is also the distributor of products. And the 60% margin is also passed on to the consumer in different ways.

MLM is a business concept where every consumer who is a distributor also, has a right to independently sell the product and services of the company. Not only that, he / she also has right to make anyone the distributor of the company. It is just an improvement of Franchise system. The limitation of franchise system is that you do not have rights to further distribute the franchise of the company to others. But here in MLM that right is granted to you so that you can also create your network as the Parent Company is doing. This way you can create you network of distributors cum consumers and earn a bonus income depending upon the total business volume generated by your entire network.

Let us take an example to explain the advantage of doing MLM business. Suppose there is a middle class family of 3-4 family members. Assume that the monthly expense of this family is Rs. 5000/- on FMCG products items like Cosmetics, Washing Detergents, Floor Disinfectants, Dish Wash Detergents, Bath Soaps, Hair Shampoo, Car Shampoo and Polish, Health Supplements, Deodorants and many other FMCG Products that are purchased essentially on monthly basis in open market from retailers. Also assume that the family is purchasing these products since last 10 years.

The fact is that the product that costs manufacturer Rs. 4/- with profit reaches to consumers at Rs. 10/-. That means each family pay 60% extra for the products they consume on monthly basis. But where this 60% goes? It goes to middlemen and advertising agencies and ultimately we consumers pay for them. And interesting point is that these middlemen are not improving the quality as well as the quantity of the products. Yes one thing they do smartly is duplicity (Milaawat). Moreover we do not purchase products by getting influenced from advertisements, but we purchase them by either trying them or if some of our known person recommends them to us. So we are paying 60% extra cost without getting any extra benefit for the products that we consume on monthly basis.

That means according to our example the family is paying 60% of Rs. 5000/- i.e. Rs. 3000/- extra per month for every Rs. 5000/- products purchased. That comes out to be Rs. 36,000/- per year and in 10 years it comes out to be Rs. 3,60,000/-.
The current average inflation rate of these products is around 20% per year. So in next 10 years you will be paying around Rs. 18,57,521/- extra for same products without getting any benefits. Don’t you think if you start saving this amount and invest it even in fixed deposit account you will be much richer person?
Now if I say that just by changing your way of purchasing these products you can actually get this amount back, will you be ready for that change?

Probably no one having a common sense can say no to it. The only that is required is to eliminate middlemen just by changing your shop. Instead of purchasing such products from your retailer just purchase it from direct selling company by becoming its independent distributor.

Now suppose like all people having common sense you decided to become the independent distributor of some direct selling company to earn out of your essential monthly expenses. The first step that is required is to get yourself registered with some good Multi Level Marketing Company.

Just as you require a sponsor to open a bank account, you need a sponsor to register yourself in MLM company also. Sponsor is a person who is already registered with the MLM company that you want to join and who will help you to get yourself registered as independent distributor and get the financial freedom for you. So he/she is a person who is committed to help you in developing strong foundation for your financial & time freedom.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE SELECTING THE MLM COMPANY FOR YOU. IF A COMPANY IS PAYING MONEY TO YOU OR YOUR SPONSORS FOR GETTING NEW PEOPLE REGISTERED THEN IT IS A PYRAMID SCHEME AND NOT GENUINE MLM. THESE ARE MEMBER MAKING SCHEMES IN WHICH YOU ARE PAID FOR RECRUITING PEOPLE UNDER YOU AND THEY ARE TYPICAL MONEY CIRCULATING SCHEMES. SO JUST BEWARE OF SUCH COMPANIES AS THEY RUNS AWAY AFTER COLLECTING THEIR TARGET AMOUNT.

ALWAYS CHOOSE A COMPANY THAT IS HAVING PRODUCTS THAT ARE REPURCHASED AGAIN AND AGAIN (FMCG PRODUCTS)

AGAIN WHILE CHOOSING THE MLM COMPANY KEEP IN MIND THAT THE PRODUCTS OF COMPANY SHOULD BE OF QUALITY THAT IS MUCH BETTER THAN THOSE AVAILABLE IN THE OPEN MARKET AND THE COMPANY IS GIVING 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE ON ALL ITS PRODUCTS. MOREOVER THE COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE SELLING THE PRODUCTS DIRECTLY TO NON REGISTERED PEOPLE OR IN OPEN MARKET. THE PRODUCTS SHOULD BE SOLD ONLY THROUGH ITS INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTORS.

Once you are registered with MLM Company you are called Independent Business Owner (IBO) of company and you get the following rights:

1. Right to purchase the products directly from the MLM Company at discounted price.
2. Retail the products at MRP.
3. Promote company’s products.
4. Sponsor or help anyone to become Independent Business Owner and get same benefits that you are getting. This way you can create your own network.

The first step after you become IBO is to start using products of your company. Buy all those products that your company is manufacturing that you were purchasing from open market earlier. This is because first you yourself have to be satisfied with the quality of your products. And also if you are owner of some company dealing in some products, it is not sensible to purchase products of some other company. Once you are satisfied with your products and know the benefits of all the products then you can start expanding your business. But the question is how to expand your business?

Let us take another example to explain it.

Suppose you purchase a very deodorant of your company and start using it. Now some of your friends, relatives or other people in you social circle will definitely ask you “Hey Dear what a fragrance. Dude what have you applied tell me also”. Now you will promote your product to that person. He / she will definitely ask you that from where to purchase that product. Naturally you will give him / her address of the warehouse of the your company. But the company will now allow them to purchase the product since he / she is not a registered member or IBO of the company.
Now either you will retail them the product and earn retail margin of 20% - 25% or refer them to the company if they also want to enjoy the discount or earn money. Here you will sponsor them and they will be in your network.

Similarly some of persons in your social network or some of their family member will be suffering from Joint Pains, Low Hemoglobin, Dental Problems, Thyroid, Hair Loss, Calcium Deficiency, Skin Problems, Protein Deficiency or any other deficiency disease. You can solve all their problems with your products. This way by sharing benefits of your products you can increase your retailing. But this is not the only way you can earn income in MLM.

Remember MLM is not a pure selling or retailing business. It is a business to use and share the products and to share the business opportunity with others to help them getting financial freedom and extra income. This way you build your own network. The bigger is your network more secure is your income.
Now let take a glimpse of how much we can earn through MLM from our daily essential expenses.

Though the average monthly expense of a family on essential FMCG products is somewhere between Rs. 8000 – Rs. 14000. Let us take a figure of just Rs. Rs. 5000 per month for our example.

Assuming you have decided to join MLM and change your shop. Now you will register with some MLM company with the help of some person who is already registered IBO of the company. The IBO that helps you in becoming IBO will be called your Sponsor or Upline and will help you in developing your business in initial stages when you are new to business. Now the situation looks like as shown in image.

Now with the help of training and support of your sponsor, MLM Company & Education system you will start expanding your business. Suppose with the help of all these your are able to find 5 families for retailing of Rs. 2000/- each and 6 families who want to earn extra income or financial freedom by joining your business.

Now your personal business volume will be:
Products for personal use : Rs. 5000/-
Products used by 5 families @ Rs. 2000 : Rs. 10,000/-
Total Business Volume : Rs. 15,000/-

And personal business volume of 6 families who want to join your business at initial stage will be Rs. 5,000 * 6 = Rs. 30,000/-

At this stage your total group business volume will be Rs. 30,000/- + Rs. 15,000/- = Rs. 45,000/-

And your income will be as follows:

Personal Volume= Rs. 15,000/-
(Retail Margin @20%) = Rs. 3,000/- Rs. 3,000/-
Group Volume= Rs. 45,000/-
(Bonus @ 6%) = Rs. 2,700/- Rs. 2,700/-

Your Total Income a this stage= Rs. 5,700/-

Wow! That’s great, the products that you were already using since last so many years without any income, now giving you income of Rs. 5,700/- per month just because you have changed your shop.

Now tell me why you should not change your shop?

Let us move one step ahead to the next stage. The 6 families that you sponsored have also joined business to earn income. Now you with the help of your upline and education system will teach and support them. After learning business techniques they will also do the same as you did.

Let us assume that they are able to find only 3 families for retailing and only 4 families who are interested in joining their business for extra earnings and financial freedom.

The total Business Volume of your group at this stage will be:

Group Size excluding you: (6*4=24+6=30)
Group personal business volume is 5000*30: Rs 1,50,000/-
Group Retailing is 6*3*2000: Rs. 36,000/-
Your Personal total Business Volume: Rs. 15,000/-
Your Total Group Business Volume: Rs. 2,01,000/-
At this stage you are at Bonus Level of 12% and each of your direct downline is at bonus level of 6%.
Your differential Bonus is 12%-6%= 6%
So your referral bonus income is 12% of 2,01,000= Rs. 12,060/-
Your Retail Profit= Rs. 3,000/-

Your Total Income at this stage= Rs. 15,060/-

That’s great, my personal contribution to the group volume is still Rs. 5000/- and my income at this stage is Rs. 15,060/-. That means now have started earning out of my expenses. And have I done anything that is very difficult to do? No I have just changed my shop.

Moreover this is full time of income of more than 50% of Indians but for you this is totally part time income over and above your income from current occupation. Also it can be a monthly installment of your housing loan or of your big car.

Are there still any doubts in your mind that you should change your shop or not?

Let us move further. The 4 new families will also learn the business as they are here to earn income. Assuming that each of these 4 new families with the help of entire team of upline sponsors and education system are able to find just 3 families for retailing and just 3 families who want to earn extra income and financial freedom by joining our business.

Now total families in your group are: 6+(6*4)+(24*3)+1=103
Group Personal Business Volume: 103*5000= Rs. 5,15,000/-
Retail of 6 families under you: 6*3*2000= Rs. 36,000/-
Retail of 24 people under them: 24*3*2000= Rs. 1,44,000/-
Your Personal Retail= Rs. 10,000/-

Your total group business volume= Rs. 7,05,000/-

At this stage you are at 21% Bonus Level and each of your immediate downline is at 9% Bonus Level.

Your differential bonus is 21%-9%=12%

Your total referral bonus is 12% of Rs. 7,05,000/- = Rs. 84,600/-
Your retail profit= Rs. 3,000/-

Your Total Income at this stage= Rs. 87,600/-

Rs. 87,600 is the monthly full time income of only 20% of salaried Indians working 9AM to 9PM daily. But for you this is totally part time income over and above your income from current occupation.

The beauty of this business is that it gives you financial security. Just think about it. Your network will continue to grow and so is your income.
When you help your immediate downline to reach at 21% bonus level you start getting Royalty Income of 4% of business volume of each downline that reaches 21% bonus level.
